Photographer's Note
Hello friends and colleagues, today I present another beautiful and interesting corner of the municipality of Granada Pampaneira, are located in the corner two doors of homes sharing paths tinao piece that covers them from inclement weather, the decor and also sharing the mat . I hope you enjoy this interesting corner of the villa.
Pampaneira is a Spanish municipality belonging to the province of Granada. It is located in Poqueira ravine in the central-western part of the Costa Tropical, about 66 km from the provincial capital. It borders the municipalities of Bubión, Capileira, La Taha, Órgiva, Carataunas and Soportújar. Much of the municipality belongs to the Sierra Nevada National Park and Historic Ensemble of Poqueira Gorge.
When the Kingdom of Granada surrendered to the Catholic Monarchs, many residents took refuge in the Alpujarras and continued for almost eighty years with their customs, religion and language. They were the Moors of Granada, who endured in their rugged mountains, until Don John of Austria, special envoy of King Philip II, ended with the violent war existed.
The subsequent depopulation was full and had to repopulate the land with Castilian alpujarreñas but especially Galicia and Leon, in an edict of 1487 was said to participate in this noble Granada War get redemption for his crimes. It was, therefore, a pressing invitation made to the nobility and their servants to abandon enrolaran Galicia and in the campaign, and they did. That is why the names of many area sites-Capileira, Poqueira, Ferreira, and Pampaneira Xumpaneira, for example-are reminiscent of Galicia.
Pampaneira continentalizado has a Mediterranean climate due to the altitude at which it is (more than 1000m) and being in the foothills of Sierra Nevada (3482m). That means it has cold winters, where it is not uncommon to have snow and ice, and a little warm summers, with extreme maximum above 35 degrees but below 40 degrees. Temperatures are softened by the presence of the Mediterranean Sea. Rainfall is variable and even abundant, with drought period in summer and cold drop in autumn.
The tinao is an architectural solution, typical of the traditional architecture of the region of La Alpujarra, in the Spanish provinces of Granada and Almeria, which creates spaces covered with semi-private or semi-public area, to have a structure of beams on the street, on the which is usually located a room or private home
The Tinao is one of the architectural elements specifically protected by the equity in the Alpujarra Historic Site, as a matter of BIC.
In a way, the tinao has commonalities with the arcades and passages (also called sheds) and in terms of its social function, with other architectural elements, such as skates Soba Valley.
There are three types of tinaos: 1 tinaos pitch, 2 tinaos in homes, 3 Tinao attached.
1 When the structure is supported beams in houses on both sides of a street, forming a passage under it, public and passable. In some localities, as Atalbéitar or Fondales (La Taha), the tinaos placed one after the other, make spaces of great length, and relevance.
2 In some cases, arranged in tinaos "pouch", under the structure of a single housing. In such cases usually give tinao, which functions as a vestibule, access to the house itself and the block and other parts of the house. Although tinao is open, always, the public space, in such cases usually have a semi-private use, as a meeting place and rest.
It also applies, improperly, to the name of tinao rooms open to the street, which exist in some homes, as a covered terrace.
3 There are several examples of tinaos arranged parallel to the facade of the dwelling, building structure beams in the house itself and pillars of masonry or brick (not wood), to arcade mode. It is in such cases, a semi-public space use and usually do not get up on them but a kind of room open terrace.

Colori e nitidezza eccellenti

Hi Angel
A well cropped frontage with the dark old door creates a striking contrast while the eye is also drawn to the features of the stonework with all other interests. It's well observed and taken, a delightful shot indeed. Congrats
Kind regards

Hola Angel,
a very lovely detail from a picturesque house decorated with great care. I like very much how you have fitted the view of the shed and the pavement into the frame. Clarity is excellent and the colours very delightful. The textures have been rendered superbly as well. Colours, architecture and decoration look quite familiar as they bring to mind views from the greek islands. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania
