Another capture from Fondacion Rodriguez Acosta, and I hope that not the last one. I like the geometry here. The arches, columns and straight lines remind me Escher graphic, that is why I have used here black and white.
I played a bit with this image, against TOS, so I put it here

Indeed a good choice of black and white to underscore the beauty of the geometrical curves, angles and straight lines with a nice framing. The perfect exposure has resulted in excellent sharpness and pleasing details of the textures. The steps at the front leads us to the interesting view through the arch at the right.
Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.

Yes, this certainly reminds me of the wonderful drawings of M.C. Escher. I love your workshop picture too - the image "split", reversed and pasted to produce a lovely graphic and symmetrical composition.
This image works so very well in black and white, particularly as it brings out all the textures of the flaking paint and crumbling plaster so very well. Lovely light, tones and contrasts and excellent details and sharpness too.

I like all of this geometry too and the view you have chosen makes this a very inviting scene. The black and white id's a really good choice and gives a slightly scary feel. I want to go and explore further but would worry about what I might find up there :)
thanks as always

An appealing 'Escheresque' image in high contrast monochrome of the classical steps and arches. No ornate art adornments, just fine solid architecture.
And I find your 'Doppelganger' image even more appealing. I had experimented a long time ago with this process in Photoshop, and now you have stimulated me to try again.
Thanks for sharing,
Have an excellent weekend,

Yes, coming prepared to place you have never been before does pay off indeed. Honestly I have never heard of this place while in Granada (I have a friend who grew up just outside Granada and as we are both ardent skiers, we often go skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains.) but what a miss indeed. The place looks charming.
This simple black and white composition brings out the calm beauty of the Fondacion brilliantly.
have a great weekend

Hi dear Malgo, how are you?
Very rare B&W image from you, but this is so impressive. Wonderful composition and combinatio image with the best balance of color and distance. Refecting with your high sense and inspiration as well.
F5.6 makes so clear and outstndingly sharp presentation.
Best regards and have a good Sunday! Takero from Tokyo

Ciao bella Itchy Feet
I saw the collage of the photos of this place you uploaded to FB, they are fantastic, as is this single photo. You chose the B&W so well, where it has really accentuated the lines and graphism, as well as the textures of the paintwork and concrete. We don't often see monochrome from you and I would love to see more, especially if they are of this high quality.

nice the view of the place with the B/W format to make it even more effective.I like the vertical and horizontal lines with the created reflections in the WS to complete perfect the whole scene.
Have a good Sunday,Danos

Excellent view up to old stone stairs an nice arches.
Monochrome captures the mood of this scene much more than color could. You have created a really strong composition with great light, excellently framed in portrait format.
Very well done.

hi MK! i just loved your WS photo! it is really an escher work and gives a full clue on the reason of choosing B&W medium for this. indeed, escher could have been influenced by this structure. very well seen details.
