[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
El Ferrer was an abandoned village for over 50 years when 15 years ago an enterprising English couple bought it and began renovating it.

The village is accessed from Castell de Ferro by a long winding track into the mountains, just an hour and a half drive from Malaga. The peace and tranquillity of this beautiful spot has to be experienced to be appreciated. It's set amidst arid, semi-dessert terrain with a fascinating wildlife.

All except one or two of the original houses have been renovated (preserving the original Spanish style), some of which are occupied by English families who live and work there. One of them runs a small business offering horse riding holidays and their guests stay in holiday homes within the village.

Of course, this is not an advertisement and TE is certainly not a place for that, but I somehow had to introduce you with my today's posting and explain the settings in which the photograph was taken.

By looking at this photo you may guess the setting is by the stables where the horses are kept.

Very nice colors and good composition. The distinction of the colors are so precise and the patterns are also interesting.

Very good colours and nice and sharp. I like the composition but can't help wondering what a shot just concentrating on the wheel barrow and hay behind it from a lower angle would have looked like :)

A well seen detail from rural Andalucia, Robert. The hayballs make for an engaging graphical pattern, and they come in delightful colors. The old wheelbarrow, again filled with hay, adds an interesting detail. I might have cropped out the pipe and measuring instrument at the left. Interesting shot.

A nice and quiet stable scene. I like the compo with the wheelbarrow, the buckets and the difference between hay in order in the back and hay at loose around the tools.

I choosed this one for the nice coloring, compo but most for the subject so close to daily living. And what a sharp deep coloring you have here up to the finest detail.
