A beautiful lady was standing by the side of an ancient mosque (most likely, the room is used for praying by ancient Muslim rulers). Here in this picture, I don't find an animosity between the lady and the wall. If there is any, the animosity exists between the lady and a third party. I believe that a religion is the property of a God, and a person can't take the duty of Him, and force another person to wear a particular dress. (After all, the picture wouldn't be beautiful with a full-face veil.)
Alhambra is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Spain. It is basically a thousand years old palace with beautiful architecture and Arabic calligraphy on every wall. The calligraphy, and architecture of the Alhambra clearly shows the artistic tastes of the ancient Muslim rulers.

Beautiful portrait with flattering light and well-chosen depth of field. The expression on the lady's face creates a sense of mystery and the contrast between her attire and the ancient walls works very well.

I like the overall light orange/brown hues of the shot, the framing even if I don't see a link between the portrait and the sculpture, she seems to hide or seek for spmeone.

namaste, an excellent portrait shot. Like the use of light comes from left. Great tonal quality with nice depth to show the details of the wall too. Excellent photography. Tfs.

The soft focus on the face of the lady uplifts the mood of the image.
The side wall of the ancient mosque with fine details and beautiful light is a delight to watch.
I agree that the side pose is working wonders here.
