Photographer’s Note
The Mezquita (Huge old Mosque with a cathedral implanted in the Centre) in Cordoba has to have one of the most magnificent interiors of any building I've been in. If you go early (8:30 -10:00) you get in free and tour groups are banned. After 10 tour large numbers of tour groups descend on the Mezquita.
If you get there at 8:30, like we did, you have the place almost to yourself and are able to takes photos at will without crowds getting in the way.
Within the mosque there are masses of these pillars surrounding making for a rather surreal vista. Where I took this photo from I had a view along 2 directions, one straight ahead and the other at the diagonal. It was inside with a little natural light so I took a hand held photo using a high ISO (3200)- as a result there is a little noise but the result is much better than the ones I took using a flash.

Hi Ian
Cordoba, how impressive is the Mezquita. I visited it in the mid 1970s. It has not changed, as your picture proves. You really have an excellent light and color management. Congrats. Your sharpness and DOF are perfect. Well done
Best regards

Hey Ian,
Likable. Perhaps a bit of noise on the ground, but still a nice picture with good colors and different exposures.
TFS.
Best regards.

The choice is simple; get a noisy picture or nothing. I would have done the same and have the memory. Well done.
