Photographer's Note

The castle of Almodóvar del Río is a stronghold of Muslim origin in the town of Almodovar del Rio, Province of Cordoba. Previously was a Roman fort and the current building definitely has Berber origin, the year 760. During the Middle Ages underwent several renovations and reconstructions. Between 1901 and 1936 it was restored by its owner, Rafael Farina Desmaissieres and Count of Torralva, who adapted it to be their home. It is best restored castle of Andalusia, and you can visit touristically
