Photographer's Note
Hello comrades, today I present this view right through the arc of a tower, with the old wall at the back of this interesting street of the historic town of Vejer, hope you like it.
Vejer de la Frontera is a Spanish municipality in the province of Cadiz, Andalusia. The core of the town is nestled in a mountain about 8 km from the coast. It has a walled historic center. The village still retains significant castle and several churches. The municipality includes a stretch of coast where the Atlantic Ocean sits El Palmar de Vejer, a small tourist resort. The economy depends on agriculture and small-scale summer tourism.
Vejer has been populated since the Paleolithic and was already fortified in the Bronze Age. In pre-Roman times was called Besaro and have found remains of the seventh century. C. under the existing walls. During the Roman period was renamed Baesippo.
In 711 Muslim was taken over after the battle of La Janda, in which Muslims, led by Tarik defeated Don Rodrigo.
For five centuries and a half remained under Muslim rule, denominating Besher. As the gate vestiges of the castle (XI century), part of the walls and the network of streets. Vejer returned to Christian hands twice. In the first, in 1250, reigning Fernando III "The Saint", and returned to Arab hands in June 1264, after a revolt in which they took by force the castle.
The second and final began in August 1264, expelling the Mudejar and ended in 1285. That same year, Sancho IV granted the Order of Santiago Vejer lordship over the territory to consolidate more quickly, but the order never took possession of Vejer.
In 1307, after a second stocking, becomes a dominion of Guzman el Bueno, who since 1299 had become owner of the manor of the traps in the entire area of the Strait of Gibraltar, and after taking Tarifa, also became the defender of Strait, becoming lord and master, after the king of this land. It inherited the Dukes of Medina Sidonia.
During the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, Vejer was dominated by Guzman, and already in the Modern Age people faced with Juan Relinque to head against the Dukes of Medina Sidonia for control of communal lands, called Chance Hazas .
It was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1976.
Today living from agriculture and wild cattle, although in recent times is growing a lot in regard to the construction of houses, shops and buildings, due in part to the municipality for tourism thanks to its beauty and singularity.

Excellent work on the difficult exposure here. Nice straight line that gives deepness. The shapness is remarquable. I like the small patio with chairs in the shadow constrasting with the light on the old wall. Nice composition well done.

Hola Angel.
Gran trabajo amigo mio, me encanta.
Disfruta del fin de semana.

Hola Angel,
this is a superb composition making the most of the point of view, architecture and lighting, elements very interesting but also very difficult to combine. You've done it excellently, fitting the view very well into the vertical frame, exalting the elegance of the architecture and its characteristic textures and details. I love the attractive depth and perspective, the great definition of colours, the lovely and accurate capture of the atmosphere, the light on both sides of the arch and the shadows. Wonderful work, congratulations and thenk you!
All the best, have a lovely Sunday,
Ourania

Bonjour Angel,
J'aime beaucoup l'effet de profondeur que donne l'arche dans l'image ainsi que le contraste entre l'ombre et la lumière. J'aime le blanc des murs et le bleu du ciel.
Bon dimanche

Hola Angel,
This has been an interesting history lesson in association with your photograph. It is quite amazing how many changes regions have endured over the preceding centuries.
Your viewpoint funnels us quite nicely towards the beckoning opening, but without haste, so there is plenty of opportunity to appreciate the details of the white walls and the balconied windows.
The opening, with its leads lines, creates an excellent sense of depth, whilst the figure gives a good focal point.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Josep

Hello Amgel,
Your composition is excellent using the archway to create perspective through the scene. The narrowness of the alley is emphasized by the vertical format. The lighting and colors are wonderful as is the photo's sharpness.
Have a nice evening,
Regards,

Hi Angel,
that's a great shot, the perspective is very attractive. The cobbled lines lead the eye through the picture out of the shadow into the light and the other diagonal on the wall is inviting you up into the sky. Wonderful effect!
