Vejer de La Frontera is a Pueblo Blanco (white village) and town in the province of Cádiz, Spain.
The city was built on a hillside with 200 meters high, its historical centre of medieval character, was declared a Historic artistic monument in 1976 and 1978.
Of its many monuments highlights both the Moorish Castle and the Gothic Church, which was built over an Arab mosque.
The Pueblos Blancos, are a tourist route, composed of small towns and villages, located in the mountains of the Spanish provinces of Cadiz and Malaga, covering the natural parks of Grazalema and Alcornales.
This route called Pueblos Blancos, (white villages) due to their towns and villages are predominantly painted white, and the facades of the houses bear colorful flowers vases, making this route in a very picturesque and cultural travel
