Hello friends and colleagues, today I present a closed flat on a typical window of the city of Medina Sidonia, a city with a history of the province of Cádiz, Andalusia, hope you like it, then a few letters of the city.
The city of Medina Sidonia is a Spanish municipality located in the center of the province of Cádiz , Andalusia. It belongs to the district of La Janda . It is historical-artistic and Well of Cultural Interest The mountain on which it is located is called the Cerro del Castillo, which is the highest elevation of the entire western third of the province, from the foothills of the Sierra de Cádiz to Atlantic coastline , which allows it to be spotted from a significant portion of the province, offering at the same time , the extraordinary panorama of the provincial area . The city is oriented towards the Bay of Cadiz , which is why it is known as the Balcony of the Bay. A small part of the municipality asidonense belongs to the Natural Park of the Acorns, one of the most valuable in terms of natural and scenic areas refers Andalusia. The term also hosts much of the route of the Green Corridor of the two bays , a greenway linking the Bay of Cadiz and Algeciras Bay . The first settlements in the area of which we have evidence , dating from the Late Bronze Age . Found in the Cerro de las Madres a lot of fragments of handmade ceramics and some stone tools . It seems that these people were related to the Tartessian culture. Then takes place the arrival of Phoenician colonists from Sidon , which will found a city (with the same name as their city of origin ) on the basis of the earlier Indian occupation . In the third century . C. Romans occupy the whole mainland that was previously in the hands of the Carthaginians. Around the first century a new urban center will occupy the entire space of what is now the Historic be built. By Augusto César Award , the city promotes its previous municipal status and becomes a colony with Roman law ( civitas optimo jure) . She was known by the name of Asido , Caesarina or completely as Asido Caesarina Augusta. Was located in the Province Ulterior Baetica , belonging to the convent legal Hispalensis ( with capital Hispalis ) . In the Visigoth Hispania was the provincial capital and episcopal see of the Catholic Church , then known as Asidona , suffragan of the Archdiocese of Seville which included the former Roman province of Andalusia in the diocese of Hispania . In 712 the city was conquered by Musa ibn Nusair , the Umayyad Caliphate usually at the beginning of the Muslim conquest of the Iberian peninsula. It was the capital of Muslim named Cora Cora Sidonia ( also known as Arabic Saduna شذونة ) . Alfonso X the Wise reconquered the city September 22, 1264 , occupying the border against the Moorish Kingdom of Granada , which is why it appears in a medieval document with the name " Frontier " . In times of the Reconquista was home to several military orders. These include the Order of Santiago and the Order of Santa Maria. In 1440 became part of the Lordship of the Dukes of Medina Sidonia .

A fine capture of this window with its lovely wrought iron work. The image is evenly lit and has very good colours and sharpness. The photographer's reflection is a bonus, contributing to the mood of the composition.

En même temps, cette photo est un superbe autoportrait du photographe en action. J'aime bien , car les barreaux donnent l'impression que tu es prisonnier à l'intérieur.

A unique way to create a self portrait! Nicely taken scene, I like very much the symmetry of your composition, which is broken only by the path at this angle, that compliments the scene well.
Thanks as always

Exactly a jail with the iron work in foreground.
But a lovely picture with the red flowers and the reflection of the photographer them self.
Excellent composition and pleasant colours.
A nice composition, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

Very well caught, bravo

Ciao, buona serata e buona settimana

What a beautiful window captured from a perfect pov; the lonesome geranium with its pünk flower adds aunique taste to your compo.
Of course the photographer himself on the window is the bonus of this capture.
A perfect TE entry enriched with many interesting and usefull notes.
TFS and best regards

A very well composed, almost symmetrical shot, which shows the railed window with sweet clarity and fine textural details.
It is a great craze to shoot a 'selfie' with a mobile phone; I've not seen it used so often with a digital camera!
My warm regards,

A very interesting self-portrait!
Excellent colors and sharpness.
Greetings from Greater Poland.

Angel, lovely window with nice symmetry and great sharpness. I particularly like the deep brown of the window frame, and the color contrast with the lovely flower and flowerpot. Thanks.

I like your self-portrait! It's really too bad that home owners have to resort to installing irons bars on their windows and doors to keep thieves out. Sad commentary about our society today. TFS

A self-portrait on reflection collected superbly, and well spotted on location.
The iron-wrought window frame is simple but also in good taste. Fine clear photo.
jacquest (18927) 2014-05-12 11:27
What have you done to be behind bars eh eh ? This is creative shot with the photographer and a nice door. The bars add a dramatic effect and the sense of a well guarded place. Very good colors and sharpness.

I was very impressed by the dense rhythm the succeeding architectural patterns had given to your most recent photo and it's very interesting to see here one of those details isolated in a frame of its own. A fine presentation with great sharpness and colour management in the shade. I like very much how the mysterious interior has been covered by the reflection. It's delightful to discover a bright self-portrait of you in action within the reflection. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,

Angel, una imagen muy similar con las ventanas de Toledo, una imagen tradicional y encantadora con el gran detalle de incluir el fotógrafo mismo en ella..se llama creatividad!!

A little bird told me you were wearing brown pants and
a beige pullover while taking this picture of a window, featuring the flower pot encased as a precious treasure behind bars!
Technically, the tonal range as well as sharpness appear as described in the rules book.
