Everyone who was in Spain in summer knows how hot it is there. Even in the beginning of May it was already around 35 deg. Normal people (locals) just prefer to sit somewhere (if not working) under umbrella or in air conditioned rooms, but not crazy turist. The good thing is that the Arab builders of Andalusian towns were very wise: the streets are very narrow providing the shadow. And they are so narrow that the cars can't go there. I like this idea very much.
It is one of the streets in the maze of Cadiz on which your walking sandwich wandered. I liked here the reflections of the other side of the street. Not many people going around noon. Only from time to time someone appeared.

Hi Malgo. For a moment I thought you were doing the Silvio thing- houses and no people but I do see two persons wandering about in the heat. Yes, the reflections are a nice element to the composition where the light is lovely and colours vibrant. Pozdrawiam. Klaudio.

The heat is quite palpable with the few people about sticking to the shady side of the street. I find this little street very attractive with its balconies, which are not unlike those in Malta. The reflections in the windows on the right are a very nice bonus. Ideally exposed with very good colours and sharpness.

Tu as pris ta photo à l'heure parfaite pour qu'il n'y ait pas trop d'ombre dans l'image permettant de bien voir les deux côtés de la rue. J'aime bien la façade de verre qui réfléchit l'autre côté.

Interesting Cadiz scene with the narrow street empty except for one person, shadows and harsh light intersecting, and the dominating balcony buildings.

I know the heat of spain indeed, I saved all year once to go to Majorca, and then when I got there I could not go outside for the heat :) I too love the idea of these narrow streets, the shade of course is an excellent idea, but also that cars cannot get there to ruin the view. Those Arab builders were very considerate for photographers!
have a great weekend

The few people you met must have raised their eyebrows when seeing a living sandwich walking around own during the hottest time of the day :-). Good for you you found these shady lanes where the large windows capture the reflections of the opposite side very nicely. You handled the difficult light very well.

Dlaczego wąskie uliczki są ciekawsze niż szerokie? Czy dlatego, że są bardziej przytulne? Dobre ujęcie z mnóstwem szczegółów, chyba to był czas sjesty

This narrow street is really beautiful with this interesting architecture, and the detail of the reflection on your picture is great! Wonderful composition! Really good job!

First, thanks for your concern, we are OK.
A marvelous effect managed in this narrow alley, with the reflection collected on the right-side glass-windows, duplicating the view of the opposite side.
Details are crystal clear, a fine photojob done. The lone man strolls added life to the scene.

The street is indeed narrow and converging well towards the depth. The light coloured pastel walls are soothing to the eye and meant to cool inside. Nice reflection of the houses on the stone...Given the narrowness of the street and the houses on either side, I believe the street would almost always be in shade except for a couple of hours in noon
PS : Where to this summer holidays?

That fantastic perspective of this street, beautiful facades in bright colors, magnificent reflections on the glass in the foreground.
Excellent sharpness and very good light.
Very good job. I like it.
I wish you a good evening.
Best regards, my friend.

Excellent use of diminishing linear perspective and vanishing point with good sharpness and nice warm versus cold color contrasts between the blue sky and yellow / orange facades of the buildings. Excellent shadow detail & a nice reflection at right. Tfs!
