Photographer’s Note
Staicase in Hotel Reina Cristina in Algeciras.
This hotel was opened in 1901 near the Strait of Gibraltar on the route between Europe and Africa. It's architecture mixes colonial style and Arabic influence. The hotel has also a big garden which is like an oasis within otherwise rather uninteresting city.
Have also a look at WS with the old advertising poster in the middle of the staircase.

Hi Kari - Yes, I stayed at that hotel too, four years ago! The indoor shot is sharp and well exposed, and nicely framed within that large arch... thanks for sharing, Daniel

Indeed a charming place, beautiful old style of architecture and stair, the use of the arch as frame is very good as the light and the colors, well done Kari, compliments.

Hi Kari,
Oh yes, very nice. Wonderful how they restored it! The detail in the carpet is very nice, combined with the old metalwork it is a small piece of art.
Haha, nice to add that old poster in the workshop. It explains the time this hotel is coming from.
Thanks for sharing!

Greetings, Kari -
Very nice interior shot, well-framed through the arched doorway. The colors are warm and vivid. A nice mixture of artificial and what appears to be natural light through a window. Well done.

Kari,
what an interesting and different view. The blend between the colonial style and arabic influence. Very clean and sofisticated combination of colors. The POV gives a good lead of different forms and geometric appearences.

Hi Kari,
wow, such clarity and strong impression from an inside capture with a complex light situation is not often visible. Wonderful sharpness and a lot of details to explore with the balustrades, the walls and posters and the floor. The capture of that old advertisement is also well done.

Absolutely brilliant colours and glowing lights that have beenc aptured with their wonderful vivdness and vivacity. I like the soft and genteel setting. Great composition indeed which will make return to it many times!!!

Hi Kari,
You've framed these curves, that to me denote 'old world charm', with great balance and harmony. I think its partly the framing of the arch and the repeating curves of the ceiling, and partly the angles of light that make this balance so strong that it calls from the thumbnail.

Nice inside composition on the descending stairs and using the curved valut as a natural framing. A fairly good light.
All the best,
Emmanuel
