Photographer’s Note

This is different crop of my last post. I think this is much better.

Bled Town is famous for the glacial Lake Bled. The major attraction is The Church of the Assumption on the Island and The Bled Castle(See other my photos from this place)

Yes, indeed a postcard! One of the better I´ve seen from this very beautiful place. A perfect composition withe the tree well placed to give depth, and very well saturated colours.

Hello Philip,

This really grabbed my eye on the thumbnails.
There is so much to commend it!
The f/g tree has interest and gives perspective, the shimmering water with its reflections acts like a bridge to bring the eyes to the main focal point which is so attractive, partially shrouded by the trees and set against the romantic mountains.
The colours are beautiful in their own right.

A truly beautiful shot, one for my favourites!

I have to say that I also prefer this crop to the previous posting; it makes for a very pleasing angle of view with the eyes being taken in procession from the foreground tree to the church to the mountain. Colours and clarity are excellent.

yes this one is better then the on before Philip,
It's closer and the church is bigger here so the colours and the contrast is better, good photojob here, i like it my friend.

Hi Philip,
A very well know castle which i have to photograpgh myself one day. We have seen many of it here on TE, but here the crop and using natural elements in the framing brings out extra aspects...very nice. Colors looks great here, sems you had perfect weather.

Oooooo, you're right, I think this composition is much better.
That's why you always have to take a vertical shot as well as a horizontal shot of a subject, you never know which one'll turn ou the best.

Indeed here can them speak about a postcard, you show us a wonderful image with the church from Bled as subject.
You placed the tree excellent to the left so we can see the Lake and the wonderful mountain line in background.
Grerat composition and very well soft colours, my compliments for this one.

I really like your colors here. They're bright and strong and your POV excellent. The reflection is very nice and the stripe of blue and green create a nice frame for the main central theme.
