Piazza Tartini, Piran, Slovenia.
The Tartini Square has been the focal point of the historical centre of Piran since the end of the 13th century, although it only began to acquire its current appearance in the 19th century. By filling in the inner harbour (a quay for boats and small ships) a square was created around which municipal institutions and palazzos for the nobles and gentry were built (or rebuilt on old foundations).
The square was named after a famous native of Piran, the violinist, composer and music theoretician Giuseppe Tartini (1692-1777). To commemorate the 200th anniversary of Tartini's birth the people of Piran decided to erect a memorial to him in the middle of the square.

Hallo Mike!
Frank
Hi Mike.
Excellent colours and contrasts! That piazza with the tower as a background is lovely!

Mike,
This is a very well composed shot with the clock tower topping off the scene nicely. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The sky is great and forms a nice backdrop for the photo.
TFS,
Asa
