Photographer’s Note

Towards the end of my slides (though as I said, I'm going back to this camera) I took this so often shot view on a very stormy day a few years ago. Why I bothered to post it was that I think the spots of sunlight, and brigher patches in the clouds, give it enough of an edge to make a worthwhile compo. The church seen between the trees is the oneon the island in the lake.

Maybe a Slovene mamber can put me right on the province, I didn't know there were two Bleds.

The colors, the softness, the distant building...it makes this shot look like a page from a fairy-tale book. It is a good picture Richard.

Great atmosphere in very good picture, you created special mood with the colours tones and the mist in the background, the composition is very good.

Very different from your UK slides in terms of scene and colors, but similar in terms of great atmosphere...
This one feels a little eery... The strong blue tones, the hint of building in the back and the rope dangling from the tree in the front all create a spooky scene. But then again, I do have a most vivid imagination...

Yes Richard this is good.
The softness of the colours the fog, the looking through to that church, the composition. Well what can I say more. This is a very good photo, very good job.

Richard, j'aime bien cette photo qui nous laisse découvrir cette église dans le lointain, dans la brume bleue. j'aime beaucoup les couleurs. (IMHO)Mon seul reproche est le suivant : il y a deux zones dégagées entre les sapins dont l'une nous permet de voir l'église, la première à gauche par contre a détourné mon attention. j'ai fait un ws.
merci pour nous donner à voir une atmmosphère très mélancolique.

It can be a frame from a movie!
Excellent shot,very nice work,really I like ,Richard!
The combination of blue tones in bottom from the sea towards top-depth of pic is very very great.
For creat A Perfect composition you was careful for all things there with this POV & result is fine & complet.

It seems almost as if the blue on the background (the same tones on water, sky, and around the church, is post processed. Very moody with a nice atmosphere.

The colours and lighting make this a delight.
I like to think that the rope had a big tyre on it where children could play.

I'd add a bit of yellow. The misty castle in the background is a pleasant discovery.

Well, this is a picture for Disney! The sharpness and great colors of foreground and fog in background give to this picture a special atmosphere.

Richard this is very nice photo. It is not so often that we make photos in the cloudy and fogy days, but becouse of that this photos are wonderfull. I like it very much.
In Slovenija are lot of lakes but that two which are so close are Bled lake and Bohinj lake. You made wonderful picture of Bled. Both are in Gorenjska region.

What a wonderful view and great perspective! I know the charm of Bled, but your picture adds so much to it, it makes it become a misterious place. Very nice job.
