Photographer’s Note
When the steep, granite cobbled path, leading to the north, is overcome, the St. Mery Ascension churche is reached. The legend is saying that on the night between 14th and 15th August in the far year 1512, the Mother Mary appeared to two vineyard watchmen. She begged them to relay a message to authorities regarding the renovation of the church, which was in very bad shape. In the following years the church was enlarged. In the year 1520 it was adorned with the painting “Apparition of St. Mary” by Francesco Valerio. Eventually the church became the most important pilgrimage centre of the entire Istria.
In present the convent becomes a school for children with needs for specially made teaching programs.
And there's an another special thing about this place, it's recognized like a 'powerpoint', one of those places that gives benefits to our bodyes. the Whole area of Strunjan is a natural park.

What, no tobacco grad?
I like this one. It's an attractive and interesting looking building, and I like your framing. An alternative would have been to go in a bit closer on the tower and building facade in front of you, but I like the way you've done it.
I also like the colours and textures in the walls. The flat light and absence of shadows works in your favour as well.
Good work Miuky.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Miuky!
Great architectural photo, greatly composed. Perfect perspective, great use of guiding lines and wonderful colours!
What amazes me the most is how you show great respect for the lines of the building, it doesn't seem ready to collapse, like in many other architecture photos (that's something I am pretty "sensitive" about.) Congratulations!

Hi Maja. Nice view into the backyard, and good use of the long walls to delimit the frame on either side, and pull the viewer's eye into the scene. The color contrast as well as the textural variety in this one also make for a rather pleasant viewing. Good shot.

Hi Miuky
I like the dual convergence of both the upper & lower elements of rooftop & pathway, creeating excellent linear perspective & vanishing point towards the steeple. Tfs!

That's a very picturesque school! Because of palm trees it could be Havana or Barcelona. Perhaps I would try to shift POV to the left a bit, focusing more on the right side (because it is more interesting). But it is superb shot 'as is'. You nearly convinced me that good shots are also possible on overcast days... Well done, thanks! - Vilius
