The second from the serie on salt pans in Secovlje
SALT-PANS THROUGH THE CENTURIES
The short, no more than 46.6 km long coast of Slovene Istra was at the beginning of this century still strewn with a number of salt-pans. The most important among them were the piran salt-pans, of which only the miniature pans at Strunjan and the extensive Secovlje salt-pans (covering some 850 ha) along the mouth of the Dragonja river have survived to this day. The first written records concerning the Piran pans, for which it is not known when they actually began to spring up, date to the second half of the 13th century from the Piran statute. During several changes in political and social condotions as well as with their continuously new rulers: the Venetian republic, French and Austrian Empires, Italian state, Yugoslavia and Slovenia. there have been a number of significant turning points in the apatial and technological development of the salt-pans, the last one at the end of the 60's, when the production of salt was abandoned in the southern part of Secovlje salt-pans called Fontanigge. This area has been continuously transformed, by the workings of nature, into a series of diverse and more or less saline biotopes which supplement each other and form a closed ecosystem.
Using gradient tobacco specle, the picture is just resized and lowered kb.

Che bei colori in questo scatto Miuky. Le foto contro luce sono sempre una sfida difficile da vincere, ma in questo caso ci sei riuscita perfettamente,
Bello il riflesso del sole nella parte bassa dell'immagine.
Brava.

Aah, the tobacco grad again, but this time it's worked a lot better. Because the sun is low in the sky, the orange effect doesn't look too unnatural.
You used the line of the edge of the salt pan to good effect here, and on the whole the composition is a pleasing one. I would maybe have cloned out the bright blob of flare below the sun, as it does disturb the smooth gradation of tones in the sky a little bit.
I'm a bit puzzled as to why the sun isn't directly above it's reflection; looking closely you can see that the reflection is further over to the left than one would expect. Must be some strange optical effect; light bouncing around between filter and lens or something.
I like this one Miuky, good work.
Cheers,
Ben

Zdravo Maja!
Še ena odlična.Zanimivo bi bilo videt isto fotografijo z cirkularnim polarizacijskim filtrom.Nebo bi bilo modro namesto rjavo.
Samo ideja.Fotografija mi je všeč.
Pozdrav!

Hi Miuky
I like the tobacco / cokin filter effect here that enhances the warm vs cold color opposition. Perfect symmetry, & great reflections, colour, & sharpness. I also like the right angled 'v' notch. Tfs!

Hi Miuky!
Great shot! It's a wonderful photo, but I believe that the sun must be little low, however sun's effect is very nice.

Hi Miuky.
Un joli moment avec de magnifiques couleurs.
J'aime bien ce contraste entre ces couleurs froides et chaudes et puis c'est impressionnant cette surface platte à perte de vue.
Jolie prise

Zdravo Miuky. Nesto zvoni po Japanskom. This is a wonderfully cretive piece. Surreal, as salt-pans tend to look, but you have lifted the whole thing to the realm of inspirational, dream like. The colours are evocative, the composition most innovative with the triangular shape jutting towards the viewer. Nesto specijalno. Pozdrav. Klaudio.

Hi Miuky,I like this a lot as I have never seen anything like it before! I think you stood in just the right POV and your composition is realy good, with a good DOF and the sun lights the ground up very well.
Beautiful in its own way.
Cheers
