Foggy and absolutely still day in mountain forests is always a special and very intense experience for me. Hiking cross-country with no familiar trails at hand to tie me to 'secure', 'real' life opens my mind and senses. Rocks and trees become personalities and their existence and coexistence with me come much closer to me than on a 'normal day'. Expressiveness of forms of tree branches, trunks, and grasping knotted roots is exponentially increased. A look at tree crones - a layer upon layer of beauty gradually disappearing in an incomprehensive secret.

This is very interesting... I like the way the trees blend with the mist, layer by layer. Misty backdrop works well.

I love it. trees are so hard to shoot. they are simply too full of detail and depth. you have done some amazing work with all your trees photos.
I agree with the former critic, the layers of focus are fascinating

It took me a while tofigure out that this was not a reflection on water. Good shot. The colors look great.
