Just got home and sat down to computer and found this delightfully framed photo, Ivana. It's a pity there is a fence in the arch! Suppose people have to be protected. The sun on the bricks is very nice, and the way the intensity of the sunlight increases to the left, where the sun is hidden from view.

Ms. Blath,
A fine image of this city by the sea. A nice look into the town and the large Cathedral along the coastline. Use of F8 would have brought all into complete focus into the village scene. I like the arch and the complete photo, white homes and red roofs, a sure sign that it is on the Mediterranean Coast.
The railing does not bother me as as you have stated, it is manmade and cannot be removed.

Zdravo Ivana.

I think you framed the town perfectly with this POV. In my opinion Piran is a place to see for everyone visiting Slovenia. On the other hand, I would have liked if I could see the town much sharper, with more focus on it than the disturbing railing. Focus really should be on the town with the arch allowable to be blurred.

This composition is lovely with this arch creating a frame to the whole composition, the view is very impressive, such a Mediterranean (or rather Adriatic) atmosphere:) very good work:)

Hi Ivana, oh, the frame with the arch in shade and golden light is superb; the 3-part background (sky, sea, ground) is perfectly located within the arch, and it's wonderful that the light is on the right in the foreground and on the left in the background. I don't find the railing that disturbing, although it would have been obviously better without it. Regards, Daniel

Hi Ivana, You have done an excellent job to frame this picture. Good capture of the light to show the wall of the arch and the well highlighted castle in the front on the edge of the cliffs in front. Good contrast and nice depth. Well done.

What a lovely 'framed view'!
I know what do you mean about the railing, but there is nothing you can do and it is not so bad. The sunlight on the sides of the arch is very beautiful and the view of the old center, with that church dominating it, is wonderful. Very well done and thanks a lot for sharing!
