Photographer’s Note

After a rainy day, the sky began to clear on Lake Bohinj, enough for some intrepid tourists to start boating again.

The boat with the blue roof is typical of the region and called Pletna.

Hi Jean,

great photo. Well placed boats and very well captured backdrop with great details and colors. The contrast is just right, it looks like a rich photo as opposed to so many flat colored ones we see on TE lately. Obviously shot by someone who knows his craft. The boat is interesting, it looks heavy so I wouldnt think its something you would use for a romantic row with your girlfriend. Looks like you would need some help to row it, and I doubt she would be keen to help out.

Hi Jean-Yves. A very nice landscape shot. The people and boats really help complete the shot. Perhaps the saturation could be boosted though. Still a most beautiful pic JY!

Hi Jean Yves, A beautiful photo of the peaceful and quiet lake. A nice view of the colorful mountains and the reflections of the mountain on the water. The inclusion of the dock and people show the depth of the picture. Well done.

Hello Jean-Yves. The little pier with the small boats and the blue-white topped bigger one makes a most delightful foreground interest in this scenic view from Slovenia. Very nice landscape, well presented in the way the mountains frame the visible portion of the lake.

C'est un joli coin lumineux, et un paysage interessant, je n'avais aucune idée de la Slovenie, et maintenant je sais qu'ils ont de belles montagnes et un lac qui ressemble à un Fjord.
C'est bien équilibré, et bien réalisé.

A spectacular view of this attractive lake, with good color, lighting, & sharpness. I like the repetition of the boats & the contrast between the gaudily colored gondola & its more pastel colored surroundings. C'est tres bon!

Bonjour Jean-Yves, j'aime bien la scène ici, très bonne netteté et un beau paysage montagneux. Très bien cadré et la position des hommes et embarcation bien choisi au premier plan. Un endroit assurément pour un bon moment de tranquilité, bien vu.

Hi Jean-Yves.

I decided to have a look at your Slovenian images.
I choose this one as Bohinj is one of the perls of Slovenia, with its unspoiled nature, crystal clear lake, Beautiful nature and proximity to the Alps.
I like this one because of the inclusion of the boats and three men which all look in the opposite direction.
Maybe the clouds look somewhat unreal.
