Photographer’s Note

Just a simple photo.

You can clearly see which side of the hill is the sunny one and which one the shady. You can also immediately tell it`s not a momentary thing because of the amount of snow you see on the respective sides.

Slovenia must have a lot of churches (background) per person, because you seem to see one (or four) in every village. Some of them are also built high up - the logic of that predates "modern era" and goes way back to the 17th century or so, when they served as a sort of fortification against the skirmishes of the Ottoman empire and their vassal states ... I think. ;D

Shot while hiking to Kamniški Vrh (picture: http://kamniski-vrh.net/images/kv1.jpg). I`ll try to upload more mountain scenery shots you get to see when you reach the top (which I actually did with no small effort:>), but the lighting conditions really werent that good so the shots are also not .. that good.

Really nice landscape shot. I like the "texture" of the meadows that are bathed in sunlight. The church and snow in the distance create a nice backdrop. I might have perhaps tried to give the tree at the bottom some more space by moving it a bit further away from the bottom but that's no huge complaint.

Dragi Miha,

ušao si u zlatnu seriju fotki. Ne kažem da me to iznenađuje, samo se radujem. Svetlo ti je ovde takođe zlatno. Stići će i do one crkvice tamo, u debeloj sneci.

You already captured two amazing scene under difficult lights. Front part is just amazing with its splendid golden colors and rich textures. Shade part is also eye catching with snowy fields and easily recognizable beautiful church. Excellent quality of capture, congratulations.

Magnifique prise de vue, un beau tableau, il ne reste pus qu'à le signer, il se peut que je m'en inspire pour une prochaine peinture. J'allais dire beau paysage d'automne car chez-nous ça ressemble à çà lors de la première neige en novembre. Excellente composition et bon rendu des couleurs.

Vrlo zanimljiva fotografija, naprijed je sve svijetlo, ali tamni dio izgleda interesantniji, pa pogled ide tamo da vidi vise detalja. Vrlo dobar kontrast.

The contrast between the sunny side and the shady one really looks nice as a whole!

Hello Miha, I like these type of shots, they very much remind me of the little towns I saw in Italy with houses grouped together, church & of course their bell tower, this one has snow to compliment the already lovely landscape. Good natural colour & depth.

The warm coulors of che mountain in fg that contrasts with the colder colours of the valley is the most appealaing feature in this photo. The light enhances the soft curves of the terrain making it enjoyable.

Hello Miha,
nice this landscape view with the melt snows and the two lonely houses on the hill.The pale Winter light in the foreground and the church on the far end, make the scene more beautiful.I think that the number of churches per person in Greece,especially in the villages, is bigger than everywhere else.Well done.
