Photographer’s Note

Since it is my 50th upload of my country and Christmas I`d like to try something different:

It`s actually not B&W, nor sepia, but a photo taken in foggy conditions with the white balance set on "shade". I kinda a like the result, as it reminds me of the year that is passing, as it`s too often been for me: gray and rushing way to fast. :)

Hope it does not violate the TOS. I`ve checked and it says sepia is allowed - well this basically looks like sepia in any case.

Hope you have (had) a great Christmas evening, just take it easy on the eggnog. :)

Hi Miha,
I find this a very successful photo. You chose an excellent low POV for a nice view over the water and you captured the motion of the water and the falls really well here. The sepia-like colours create a very nice mood here, along with fog. Thanks for sharing! I wish you a Merry Christmas!

I like the soft and somber colours. The exposure time created a blurred effect on the running water. The low point of view please me very much. Well done!

Hi Miha,
a nice landscape you show here. The river flows is well indicated here with BW.
The frozen water is lovely.
Rocks as FG is a great effect.

Hello Miha,

quite different indeed. This warm brownish colour, the flowing waters in the foreground, and the naked trees in the background create a fine atmosphere. Well composed and evocative.

Živjo Miha,

očitno imava podobno mnenje o letu, ki odhaja. Moja različica bi bila verjetno še malo temnejša... :)
Moram priznati da je slika presenetljivo odlična glede na pogoje v katerih je bila slikana. Definitivno taki da kamere še povohala ne bi, kaj šele da bi šla ven slikat. Vendar mi da tvoja slika mislit. Meni se zdi izjemna v vseh pogledih.

Srečen Božič in vse naj v letu 2009
po možnosti več sonca in manj hitenja :)

Very interesting to see your title for this cascade fall because in the event the water is not rushing through enough, it will result in flood.

But seen in another context, the landscape is very nice to show the foggy scenery.

Bonjour,
belle photo de ce triple déversoirs avec ces minis chutes d' eau.
Bon POV qui au raz de l' eau donne une bonne dimension a ces rochers, un bon mouvement de cette eau.
Belle brume du fond donnée par ces chutes, jolies couleurs naturelles , bonne netteté, beaucoup de détails intéressants.
