[English]The founder of Ljubljana would be Greek prince Jason and his Argonautes companions.
Fleeing king Aétès to which they had concealed the Golden Fleece, they embarked on the Black Sea, sailed on the Danube, then went up Save until Ljubljanica.
There, Jason was vis-a-vis an alarming monster that he faced and overcame. This monster is today the dragon represented on the armorial bearings of the city.

[French]Le fondateur de Ljubljana serait le prince grec Jason et ses compagnons Argonautes.
Fuyant le roi Aétès auquel ils avaient dérobé la Toison d’or, ils s’embarquèrent sur la Mer noire, naviguèrent sur le Danube, puis remontèrent la Save jusqu’à la Ljubljanica.
Là, Jason se trouva face à un monstre effrayant qu’il affronta et vainquit. Ce monstre est aujourd’hui le dragon représenté sur les armoiries de la ville.
