Taken on Prešernov trg (square) in my beloved Ljubljana. For some time now pedestrian only area.

Hi Jeri,

How is it I am always here when you post? I guess I need a life....Really, I am home sick for a long time, it seems.

I personaly am drawn to the man in the background, because I want to learn to play the Piano Accordian. It's really hard.

I suppose this is the logical third of the woman-man struggle troika. He seems distracted, though....I almost think you travel with reflectors, and direct onlookers to use them...I know it's not so, but how do you always catch this light?

Love the dappled light Jeri, and the dof is blurring the bg nicely. The character playing the accordian is well placed too. Red is always a good colour, especially in this darker setting.

mmmhh, how nice! The red jacket is such a strong focal point of the photo, with the rest of the photo rather pale. Really romantic, warm, joyful, I almost can hear the accordion play!

Really lovely. Sweet moment those that everyone would like to live, you can see his happiness in his face in a nice frame. Very good red and black well assorted to enhance the beauty of the capture. Romanticism is really one of the good reason for us to be around.

Hi Jeri,
I really enjoy these compositions of yours. There are seveeral things I like here: the contrast between the dark areas and the bright red jacket, the light on this guy's face and his ambiguous (to me...) expression and the accordion player in the background, suggesting a romantic music in the air. Real smart, I like that! Sharpness is not 100%, at least on my screen, but well, that's not a big issue. Keep 'em coming!

the light crosses the boy's face is perfect and draw the attention in connection with the red jacket...very well captured and i like also very very much the accordeonist who isn't focus but his figure is clear understood...

man and woman may be actors on the lighted stage, like this shot.
all ambivalent factors are contrasted vividly on this real stage,
love and hate,,
hope and despair,,
all are quite like the light and the shadow on this imaginative stage.
you may see the beautifulness in lighted shining space, but
true beautifulness is not there, yes
it is always hidden in the shadow,

almost theatrical composition, how good does it feel being the in the arms of a lover, as a child the loving embrace of a mother, or a grand mother capable of hiding all the world's sorrows and then...the amorous cuddle of a lover, ah, dont know what lies there, it needs to be discovered and looks like your subject has found something here... and the light on his face surely says so. good shot, very well seen.

Midve pa ne morva skrit da sva zalublene ane? :) Ful lušna fotka, ušeč mi je da je "spotlight" na tipa, rdeč, smejoč, zaljubljen. Un harmonikaš uzadi pa itak ful dobr zraven paše. Pa kje ti najdeš zmeri vse te perfect elemente skupi? Ljudje ki nekaj govorijo, zraven pa še obvezno ful dobro osvetlitev ki glih paše na fotko. Te mam na sumu da to same montaže delaš ;) Sej se hecam :)

...čakam še kšno iz Bleda/Bohinja od zadnjič :)

may be it's because I pretty much hate the entire world right now, but the guy looks quite... um... evil to me... :D :D and that fiery red... :D
don't get me wrong, the photo is great. I like a lot the way you have composed it with the musician in the bacground, and again your timing is perfect, looks as if there's a spotlight directed to the man's face.

Hello Jeri!
What a combination you caught here...I love the bokeh which puts us in the context and shows just enough details of the accordeon player adding to the romantic mood. Then that red jacket (red is always a good color, don't you think so). The light on him and she more in the shadow :-). The stripe of her handbag is a nice detail in color too and her hair wants to be caressed, so smooth. Now as to the guy, he has an interesting face, half angel/half demon, I am with Kristine in this one. But of course that is only a perception:-).
My compliments once more. I feel you are careful in preparing your shots...I should learn from that...

proveo sam dosta vremena pred ovom fotografijom, proučavajući šta je to što ti umeš a ja nemam na mojim fotografijama. I opet sam učio od tebe. Svaki put se poklonim kao dobar i lepo vaspitan đak.

All the people, all the sounds, all the outer world is left behind “the non-intentional” moment; while all the colors, all the light have been captured in the moment, shared between man and woman. I loved the intimate moment, how you caught it, how you left outern world in blurr and keep all the light and color for the couple’s non-intentional moment. btw I also loved this “non-intentional” saying, I may be using it for some of future notes, if you let me so :)

Bonjour,
belle photo de ce double portrait, cet homme bien visible, bien net et superbement éclairé, cettev dame un peut dans l' ombre.
Ce sourir est bien capté et il respire le bonheur de danser avec cette jeune dame.
Cet accordéoniste plus flou dans le fond donne encotre plus d' importance a ce portrait.

as to the photo, i like the color palette (the vibrant red of his jacket against subdued reds of their hair); the accordenoist is well placed compositionally. but... i do not like HIM ;)) what kind of expression is that when one hugs a girl, m?? the look on his face is almost as if he's flirting with someone else behind her back. :)

the moment of enjoying the life.. these words has come to my mind to express my first feelings.. because the smile and the light on his face is full of with hope and love i think.. i also loved the musician on the background.. with the girl, the composition is more meaningful.. and i can hear the music coming from the musician's fingers..

Been a while and I can see your quality work have grown in your gallery. Your creativity is envious and this image is just brilliant. The light and the red top of the smiling guy is just too much (+vely) with the girl on his shoulder. You have further enhanced the framing by including the blurry guy in xylophone making this a perfect setting to be registered. Well done Jeri and have a wonderful year ahead.
