Photographer’s Note

Hey!

This is I guess my second take on this waterfall, the first was this one:

Now, what I`ve done here is exactly the opposite. I`ve changed the long exposure to a short one (1/4000 - as high as it goes). I guess the first is still more impressive, but in this one you can actually see the little droplets and how the flow pounds the rock. Don`t know what kind of shutter speed you`d need to freeze the whole thing, because the flow still seems pretty much fast here (and so it was - with the water melting in the mountains).

Hello Miha, Excellent effect of this cascading water. The shutter speed makes no sense to me you would think that at that speed it would freeze the water droplets. Nice colour & detail. I have a confession to make my train shot I got the idea from you.

Hi Miha,
Superb capture of this waterfall. The falling water can be seen very nicely with a high level of details. Also the light is very pleasant and the warm colours of the stones are nice too. Well done!

Hi again Miha..
Well,I visited your first shot from this waterfall and I like it a lot,I like this one too,I find more impressive the other one but this one has a beautiful light which makes the colour shiny,and the water looks like elongated feathers.The picture has a lot of strenght(and it gives me a lot of thirst :) )

Yes, the first one is maybe more impressive, but I think the light and the colors are better in this photo.
I also like those green trees on the upper part of this photo.

Hello Miha,

In the photographic gallery of TE, one usually sees either time exposures of fall, the flow of water appearing to be smooth glow, but I prefer a fast exposure that freezes the motion in the air like this. The droplets, the trickles of water streaming down rocks, and the foam — all appear more dramatic. Very good photograph,
