Photographer’s Note

...at Secovlje saltpans

This is the part of the saltpans that is conserved best and the people with a help of nature still produces salt... But today (26th August - it changes in the years) is the celebration for the end of the season when by tradition people returned their homes. I can see that someone was in a big hurry ;))

This is an effective composition Tomi, with good use of the repeating lines of the salt pans. I like the relatively shallow depth of field; it emphasises the slightly abstract nature of this image.
I think I prefer these shots in colour to the sepia ones you've been posting, but I'm still waiting for a REAL black and white shot.

Dobra perspektiva, interesantna geometrija. Neko je ostavio papuce, nadam se nije skocio u ovu slanu vodu :) Dobar nastavak ove serije.

Zdravo Tomi!
Odlična geometrija in globinska ostrina.Cokli delujejo poživljujoče,oziroma razbijajo monotonijo linij.Čeprav se mi zdi,da na sliki nekaj manjka.Kot,da malo premalo pokaže.

Ja Tomy, sečovje je večno nov motiv. Čeprav sem ze vse videl stokrat vedno vidim nekaj novega . Lepo da si sllikal z kratko ostrino, tako da je vse naprej bolj in bolj megleno.

Bonjour Tommi,
une jolie série du même endroit. J'aime mieux celle-ci car le jeu des lignes est vraiment bien travaillé. La mise au point sur les tongue est idéal et donne un côté amusant à l'ensemble.

Well composed with good lines and graphism. The two dominant colours really make this shot special, and I also like how the structures are slightly angled in the frame. Your tight cropping helps deliver high impact. A fascinating scene.

Hi Tomi, very nice to see you posting again. It's a very nice series on the Secovlje salt pans. I like the almost abstract quality here and the graphical appeal of the array of pans that fade into blu due to the well chosen blur. I've seen saltpans all over Europe and this one looks very interesting and industrial. Very good work and TFS!

This is a very creative work Tomi, with the narrow DOF and the tight framing making an almost abstract image. I love the delicate tone of blue in the water and for this reason prefer it to the sepia of your recent posts. - No surprise there then, coming from me.
