Piran harbour dominates the sea front and you will certainly pass it at some point. Port is very alive with luxury boats, small yachts, tourist boats and fishing boats. You can't help thinking that this port has been in use for thousand of years before. Piran has been settled since ancient times, its name could originate from the Greek word pyr, meaning fire. In those times, fire was lit at Punta, the very tip of the peninsula, for guiding ships to the port Agieda, now Koper. The Romans established a settlement here called Piranum. Being at stone's throw from Italian city Trieste, Piran now has two official languages - Slovene and Italian.
Piran is a town of vibrant colors. Apart from red roofs you will find bright yellows, creamies, light blues, whites... feast for the eyes.

Hi Vilius,
I don't usually give critiques if I don't have any tips to give, but I just want to say that the composition and colors are very nice! So much activity, and the eye is drawn from the boats in the foreground to the tower in the background. I also like your decision to make this a panorama as opposed to the typical photo size. Well done!

Don't get disappointed if you're not getting the return that you expected. You just started at TE ... it takes a little bit of time to enter the hall of fame ;-))
Your pictures are all very good, including this one. The composition is excellent. The panoramic framing is great. The only problem are all the whites compromising a little bit with the tendency to overexposure, but this is a minor problem.
Keep up with the good work. Write a lot of critiques and get known out there.
Cheers, Peter
