Photographer’s Note
This is the most used answer...
Still on the flea market... the couple with totaly different preferences like the woman of the previous post...

I'd like to introduce you my new toy... for remain in the theme of antiques... I've bought a "new camera"... Nikon FE, with 50mm f/1,8 lenses. I really don't know how old it is, but the owner said from 1978... Who cares, it's absolutely wonderful!!! The only problem is that films are every time processed differently, so here I'd have to make stronger contrast... maybee a little too strong, but here it is... shoted on Illford HP5 400 ISO.
***
For some time I'll post pictures to show you my little piece of Earth - the Slovenian Coast. Maybee some of you will find it attractive enough to come here ;)
***
This is the twentysixth picture of my TRAVELOGUE: around Slovenian Coast... Hope you are enjoying the trip. In the workshop of my previous post you'll find the MAP: of the entire Coast so you'd be able to follow me.
Take care,
enjoy your time wherever you are!

Hi Tomi. Interesting candid photo from the flea market. Good framing with the couple in the foreground scrutinizing the goods, and a nice curving perspective towards the background with more lively actirity. The b&w works quite well with this one. Have a nice weekend.

Hi Tomi,
I think the high contrast here enhances the laidback summer atmosphere!
A well composed image, recording a street scenery with great accuracy...
Lots of interesting details to explore and work nicely done!
Normally I am a colour man but I can buy this!
Greetings,

Hi Tomi,
my old Nikon is an FM and I bought it in the beginning 80ies. I couldn't give it away.
Good shot, even if I prefer people not showing their bellies in town.
I'm not sure if it is too much contrast or if it is a bit too bright. Anyway a good shot about people coping with the summer.
Have a nice weekend,
Nino

Hi Tomi,
Your title shopping or looking, I think more looking, but this normally on this flea market, the black and white picture do my think 30 years ago, but the attire of the people show us in 2006, very well done!

Zdravo Tomi!
Slika je odlična.Če prav razumem,si jo slikal z nekim predpotopnim Nikonom.A potem sam razvijaš film,pa skeniraš?
Lepo je vidno ogromno detailov. No,saj je bolšji sejem.Odlična! Pozdrav!

Hi Tomi,
Congrats for your camera. At 75 Eu is a steal. The film and especially manual cameras are wonderful to work with. No need for menus and special function to set, and once you get used to it is like driving a car. Just look for the picture situation, the hands will do the rest in no time. And then there are these infinite possibilities to play with the film and camera and get interesting results. Cross-processing, slides, BW, double exposures, 3200 ASA, damaged film, LOMO - you name it - where a digital camera would just give consistent results most of the time.
Take care pal,
Florin

Superb framing yet again and the black and white is so successful. I like the contrasting shades. A great daily life shot.
Well done.

Hello Tomi, I love this one. Specially how the light makes a division in the composition. Some how is like we were taken inside the mind of that couple. I am involuntary forced to see what they are looking at. Lol. Very clear and sharp image. Well done. Manuel

Nice to see someone shooting witth antiques:) hahaha just kidding. You should set up your own darkroom Tomi.
Its a nice shot, though maybe the contrast is a bit too high here for my tastes. However the shot is well framed and composed.
How much was that antique? ;)

Hey Toms,
Great framing with the black and white quite successfully achieved. I like the contrasting shades. A great people shot. Not so sure about the white border frame, i think maybe a very small black around the image then the white border. Oh yes and I like the girl and guy...
cheers for now

You know I'm a colour person, but there is something very appealing about this. Perhaps the antiques deserve antique treatment, but then the people are very "now". The light/shade split works well too, although troublesome to expose for. Good candid shot.

Hi Tomi - I think your choice of camera & use of B&W film is correct for this kind of street scene. But hey, you knew I would say that, right? ;)
It's a great candid moment - people looking at the items on sale, in their own world, unaware of the photographer watching them. There's a lot of detail to be seen, from the people to the variety of thigns on the tables. Some of the light is a little harsh, but sometimes that can't be avoided. I just like it as it is.

I am learning a lot about Slovenia from your pictures, Tomi. It is a country to which I have never been, but it is on my list of places to be visited! What I like about this composition is the very similar stance of the two people on the right, and the fact that everyone seems to be 'just looking'. Cheers . . . David
