Photographer’s Note

This is the entrance of Predjama Castle (Predjama means "in front of the cave") - also known as Predjamski Grad is a Renaissance castle built within a cave mouth in southwestern Slovenia. It is approximately 11 kilometres from Postojna. It has a a canal system inside the caves for escape purpuses.
Just great place in Slovenia!

Philip,
very simple and well framed detail of the entrance to the castle. Your PP reminds me of the very first "Nosferatu" movie done somewhere in the ealry 1920's.

you depict this castle as an awful place! Dark clouds, an a black wide portal where one can fall in and go to... the hell, perhaps!! (but the door is close, if I look better:-))

Hello Philipp,

yes, I like your photo. A good use of B&W with beautiful contrast. The B&W here gives a impression of mystery accentuated by tghe thraetening sky. I like also much the brought closer framing.

Hi Philip,

It misses nothing any more but the silhouette of a dragon in the sky so that the illusion is perfect… A magic atmosphere reigns in this photograph. Very good choice of the black and white and framing, I like much. Mysterious, well done Philip, cheer.
