Photographer’s Note

We were headed south west to the coast using the old road (it is common expression for regional road leading to the sea) instead of the highway. We always choose this old road and I hope it is obvious from this image why.

You see, in this days our main city (Ljubljana), where I live, is choked up with fog and low clouds, seeing sun is just a humble wish. So we go out. This beautiful scenery started just at the end of village called Kalce. The fog suddenly disappeared and the view was overwhelming. We were driving along the road and suddenly came across a man, who parked his car by the road and he was just standing there and looking at this trees. He did't even see us stopping beside him, he was so overwhelmed with emotions that nothing else mattered. And so were we.

I guess I see in this capture more than it shows but I don't care. I just want to remember.

Res lepa slikca zimskega gozda (ceprav brez snega). Tole najblizje drevo naredi fino dinamiko, se poudarjeno s popacenjem sirokokotnega objektiva. Vsec mi je kombinacija ivja in modrega neba.

Super fotka, dobra perspektiva. Precej širok kot, tako pristoji. Super svetloba, pa precej klavstrofobičen občutek. Poleg tega pa lepo izostreno in ne samo dober prikaz krošenj, temveč tudi porastlih tal.

I understand that this sight was an unforgettable spectacle. We would say a crystal forest.
I would be afraid of walking inside by fear of breaking it!

Wow .. it is the blackness of those trunks .. they are so thoughtful and powerful in this scene ... against the blue and the soft beauty of the frost .. the frost is stunning by the way .. great control of all this light .. You have a lot of very fine pictures in your gallery - and this one is certainly one of them!
The frosted trees, the dark stems and the lovely blue sky is very decorative together. And the composition is fine, the trees seem to converge towards a point somewhere up in the sky.

It mustn't be easy to grow up perfectly vertical in the forest with so many "roommates",and the effect obtained is that they are pounced on the absent-minded walkers from this perspective..,I like it.
