Photographer’s Note
Predjama means literally: in front of the cave...
So what you see here is just a part of the castle... the "newest" part. The old part was built into the carst cave... you can take a look in the workshop but don't expect no luxury at all. Oh, I forgot. This place, Predjama is just about 15 min from Postojna.

PP work... I really don't remember what I did... ... croping out some little lens distorsion, then some lens correction (but without much success), partial USM, some contrast added and colouring, because the b/w was too sad.
... total blackout... midnight just passed... and I can't tell what is the day today... but anyway... I wish you a wonderful day and some good light for making photos.

First, I like you note. Those are things that happen to me almost everyday. So, I am feeling very comfortable today since I am not the only one. I like your photo. It looks like a very old one, may be as old as the castle!!! All your pp worked well here. Well done.

Živjo,
ta slika Predjamskega gradu je super. Všeč so mi barve, kompozicija je sploh odlična ter všeč mi je, da kljub močni svetli barvi gradu nikjer ni občutiti "prežganosti".
Lep pozdrav,
Matej.

I like how you have included the wooden structure in your composition - what is it by the way? It points us towards the castle. Clever PP work. I thought it was a low saturation colour image at first. The WS is intriguing; it can't have been a comfortable place to live.

Hej Tomi,
Very nice shot, it seems to be a very interesting place for this castle. You placed it well in the shot together with the cave and rocks. The catapult in front is a great addition too. Well done!
Almost midnight again; I wish you a wonderful day too and a very nice weekend! :-)

Lep pozdrav, Tomi!
Fine duotone that creates almost eerie atmosphere so suitable for the scene... and the scene itself (if we didn't know what it is about) could just be from the beginning of some scary movie from the early '30s.
Quite interesting portfolio of someone who's certainly comfortable with their camera!
... will have to come back to have a closer look, once when have more time...

Hi Tomi,
I’m always fascinated by the castles build on almost impossible places like here. It must have been a very difficult assignment to build it.

Hi Tomi - so the Nikon gets more use! A great camera...
Quite an interesting image, the Castle seems to 'grow' out of the side of that cliff. I really like the WS image, even more than this one, the cave looks great!

Hi Tomi,
fantastic picture. The composition is excellent and the colouring with the green tones is very pleasant.
The place is ofcourse spectaculair.

I'm going to start by saying that I'm not a fan of the green toning you've employed here, but I'm going to look past that, because apart from the toning (which is after all just personal taste), this is a great shot.
The composition is excellent, and the way you framed this is a great use of the wide-angle. I like how you included the wooden cart thing to add interest to the foreground and give depth to the image.
The contrasty black and white has brought out a great level of detail and given the image a great texture.
Good work Tomi (apart from the green!).
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Tomi!
A great shot. Looks like a painting taken from a book. I like the colour choice and composition, the way the 'catapult' point at the castle adds some diagonal feel to that vertical photo. Cool.
