Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken twelve years ago when my second son was sixteen. We landed on the slopes of Mt. Strmica near Mt. Nanos. Light breeze and warm afternoon light of late summer day spent in nature hiking and flying made out feelings high. You can see from his face how we felt.

The light falling from behind created colors of the paraglide glaring. Velvia couth the colors really vividly. Scanned by Nikon CoolScan IV-ED. A lot of work with specks and scratches; the sky was lightly darkened using Curves and the region around my son's face was made a bit lighter to show more details. Sharpened by unsharp mask 55%, radius 2 pix, the sky excluding by masking it off (Magic Wand mask tool).
