Photographer’s Note

Lake Cerknica, the most varying and the biggest (when of full size) lake in Slovenia. It is positioned in Karst region and because of that there are holes on the lake bottom, allowing lake to disappear in hot summer time, when the output water flow is bigger then the input. When is of full lenght it reaches up to 38 km2.

This is the first image of Lake Cerknica series (which I will try to put in a theme when I figure it out how...). As you can see, the bank is partially frozen with typical Karst vegetation struggling to coexist in cold, in this rainy days, rising water.
