*golden larch* Photo

Photographer’s Note

Sunday morning (16.10.2005) in my best gold place in plato Sleme. Beckground is wonderful mt. Jalovec.

Sleme is a true paradise for photographers and for other mountain walkers. The altitude is verging on the modest, although the grassy knoll marking the start of a chain of towering mountains all the way to Mt Jalovec offers fantastic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. And the foreground has its own enchantments, too, including tiny lakes and ancient larches bordering the grassy plateau of Sleme. The mountain of Slemenova spica (1911 m) is a peak set back a little above the valley, and offers even more expansive views.

Hi Denis, great autumn colours! I like your composition with dominating tree and the mountain in the background ... the dark blue autumn sky is alwys gorgeous .... great job!

Great light and colors, I love larches but didn't have time for photography this fall. Smart placement of the peak in the back, which stands out even if the larch fills the foreground. You obtained these saturated colors without a polarizer?

Une photo de saison absolument magnifique, le ciel est d'un bleu somptueux et l'arbre aux reflets d'or contraste a merveille avec le reste.
Je pense que la photo aurait gagné en force avec un poil de netteté en plus.

Hi Denis,
very nice framing with the big colorfull tree and the nuce mountain under blue sky,
The tree hide the sky wich would had been else too ennoying.

I love the way yellow mixes with blue in this photo, and the way white mountain top catches those leaves.
