Photographer’s Note
another picture from cave Pekel ( Hell). Lot of stalactites and stalagmites are all around and it was hard to choose most buty motiv.
something from WWW
Cave Pekel (Hell) represents the most beautiful pearl of Styria karst.
Cave Pekel is situated 5 km north of Šempeter v Savinjski dolini.
The entrance to the cave is very imposing. It represents a stone devil, which is bending upon the entrance. For that very reason the cave got its name.
Then there is a well-secured path, which is ascending past numerous stalactites and side tunnels to the 4 meters high underground waterfall of stream Peklenščica (Hell stream). It is also the highest underground waterfall in Slovenia. The stairs lead us to the dry upper part of the cave, which is richer in stalactites. Going throughout artificial exit we reach the surface of the earth, 42 meters higher from the place we entered. Descending the forest path we reach the log cabin where we can refresh ourselves.
Temperature in the cave: 10°C

Even more beautiful than your first picture of this cave. Very good picture, so many details of the rocks are clearly visible.

Hi, Marjan!
You have made a wonderfull photo of the formations in the cave! I have visited your Postoinska Jama but could not make a good photo, because my camera was not good one...
I see that you have other beautifull caves too.
