Photographer’s Note

Church of the St. Daniel is one of the oldest buildings in Celje. Previous church was built in the begining of the 14 th century. It is the main part of the "Slomškov trg" (Slomsek square).

Trivia:
- this image it's stitched out of 5 different photos
- perspective had to be much corrected
- i have hi-res version aprox. 2000x2000px
- this was carneval day
- my girlfriend gave birth to our doughter 4 days after her sister gave birth too; this was unplanned

Bonjour Jure,
très impressionniste et personnel comme composition.
Des lumières très spéciales qui produisnet des couleurs irréelles.
Tout cela à un look très printure à l'huile.

Nice shot. The stitching was well made. A bit more technical information to find out how you managed this fine shot would be nice!
The dramatic effect with the dark sky and the light on the church is stunning, especially since it was in the afternoon. The green tone works great and it was a fine choice. Good framing also. I just don't know what to tell you to improve!

Great picture indeed ! It reminds me of a painting, the church at Auvers sur Oise by Vincent Van Gogh ! The light is so weird. I like it a lot.

Odlično!

- fajn ideja
- fajn kompozicija
- fajn drama, vihravost, vzdušje: romantika v stilu povodnega moža, ustrezno navedenim zapletom s karnevalom, rojstvi etc.
- tudi ljudje čisto ob robovih slike sedejo: razmišljam, da ravno ta postavitev ljudi poudari strašljiv vtis.

Le moje mnenje: čeprav je sestavljanka, kar naj bi bilo in tudi je očitno, mislim da je zelena preveč poudarjena. Si pomislil, da bi namesto zelene uporabil običajne nevihtne barve v stilu svinčeno sivega odtenka, morda z nekoliko pridiha modre in vijolične?

Ampak, vse skupaj: odlična tehnika sestavljanja slik, hud izdelek.

Hello, Jure -

This photo has a very eerie look to it; your title is quite appropriate! In any other circumstance the green would be a mistake, but here it fits nicely. The strange lighting and the people standing to the side remind me of some of the late medieval paintings.
