Photographer’s Note

This shot was taken in one of the small villages dotting Pomurje. The church building style is typical of the region. Most village churches in the rural Pomurje are as tiny as this and built some distance away from other buildings.

I do not normally like subjects centred in the frame, but I do like how this conveys the isolation of this tiny building. While the building is attractive, you convey the almost comical size and isolation of such a structure. Very interesting.

Beautiful colours and nice capture of the "spirit" of the town (no pun intneded). I would probably crop it though so that the chruch was not so centered in the picture.
