Photographer’s Note

There are still wars between SL TANAP(National Forest) and " green protection" group VLK.
In High Tatras which has the highest protection level nature experienced for last years two huge disasters: Hurricane and bark-beetle. National Forest wanted to spray trees against the bark-beetle, but "protection" group did canvasses, which reportet that forest helps it self. Sure..., here you can see result - the harvester is from Mengusovska valley.

Hello Peter,
It is terrible how the hurricane has destroyed forest in Slavakia's Tatra Mountains. I remember that beautiful park with very old trees in Stary Smokovec, Tatranska Lomnica and when I saw that place after the hurricane I got a shock.
Your photo has a great depth of fields. I like that warm colours too. But what makes it really nice to look at is that contrast between the perfect blue sky and orange logs. It is really very impressive. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful photo, a typical winter scene, sad to see so many trees cut, we are used to see wood destined for fireplaces, but from protected areas, it's a diferent story! Anyway the photo is well framed and composed, great light managment and beautiful colours!]
