What the... Is the girl alright? The position of her body could remind of an opistotonus! And her legs of a major pelvis fracture! Wasn´t this an expression of a massive spasm? :-)
Ok, ok, I now, it´s time to stop making fun. It´s amazing what´s human body able to perform. I just can´t imagine myself (or most of people I know) in such position.
Now to the photo: the timing is good, all else is quite unappealing: the composition is static (+ I´d like to know, how high above the ground did she jump), the gymnast is not separated from the background, the colors are washed out and the whole photo is noisy. If you´d go for larger aperture, you´d blur out the bckg more and maybe you could go for lower ISO as well. But this is just a speculation, I guess you´d do that yourself too, if the conditions allowed to do so.
I am sure this photo has a different value for gymnastics insiders, but for me is rather unexciting.
Best regards,
Adrian
