Photographer’s Note
The ruins of the castle of Murán, Slovakia. The castle was built in the mid 13th century, and destroyed by fire in 1702. It has been in ruins since then, so much of it is covered by vegetation. The castle is located on a 935m high hill called Cigánka, from which there's a great view to Muránska planina (Plateau of Murán). The ruins and the plateau are popular targets for tourists.
