Wief of Orava from the Choc mountains.
The Choc mountains is a mountanious landscape of limestone rock walls and various karst formations. Spruce,fir-beer forests,and temporary foresthabitats are dominant.Defrosted borders consist of submountain meadows,pastures,and fields.The area is used mainly for forestry,tourism,recreation,haunting.
The Orava region is one of the most important tourism centres in Slovakia. Dolný Kubín is excellent conditions for tourism, not only in summer but also in winter, recreation and sports in both seasons. The region’s attractive natural surroundings provide it with strong prospects as a domestic and international destination for year-round tourism. Established tourist centres in the region include the area of Rohace mountains. The scenic Orava dam also offers good conditions for developing summer tourism. The most interesting tourist attraction in the region is the Orava Castle.
Orava is situated in the northern part of Zilina’s region and covers 1 660 km2.

Slovakia is a beautiful country, photos like this compliment the landscapes well.

Hallo Martin!
What a view! I like the buildup of the picture with this rockface. It creates a good depth and gives a wonderful contrast to the green landscape in the valley. I would like to step into the photo... ;-)
