Photographer’s Note
Last weekend I finally managed to visit Bardejov, the town I've heard so much about. Well worth to stop there for, at least, couple of hours. They say, it is "the most gothic town in Slovakia", "the real pearl of Central European Gothic and Renaissance". And i must agree, Bardejov is absolutely charming. Its rectangular square paved with cobblestones flanked on three sides with colourful burgher houses, the St. Egidius' church and the Town Hall (presented here) is a true gem.
The earliest written record about Bardejov dates back to 1241. In 1376 it was promoted to the status of free royal town. The "Golden Age" of Bardejov fell on the XVth century, when the town became a center of trade in the area.

Hi Mat,
An excellent Pov to get the light on the buildings and a frame well filled with elements, plus the architecture is lovely, and there are even few people to animate this apparently spleeping old town
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Mateusz,
Nice composition and POV for this shot. The architecture is great and you have presented it well. The benches facing each other in the foreground adds a nice point of interest to the photo. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail.

I love this composition Mat. This is a lovely town too. I like how the shadows kind of frame those benches in the foreground. It’s also interesting how the color of the wood benches matches the doors in the background. Good timing with the children walking by. The clouds even cooperated nicely giving you a perfect sky. Nice one.

Ryan

Hi Mat,
This is a masterpiece indeed. Excellent sharpness, contrast and colours. I like how you have used the shaded side of the town hall and the shadows in foreground to enhance the composition and contrast of the scene. Also inclusion of the two benches is essential. Very well done!
Thanks,
Marek

Piękny ryneczek, urokliwie pokazany. Dobrze, że są sylwetki, dodają życia.
Pozdrawiam.

Hello Mat! It's very well crafted composition! Those very well-maintained buildings are especially well-seen against that fabulous sky. I look the use of the shadows in the foreground.
Well done!

Hello Mateusz,
Bardejov looks like a beautiful town & you show it well. Great use od shadows & lights. I like how the two benches give much balance to the photo, and few people walking about giving a bit of life to the town. Regards. Latiff.

Hello Mateusz,
I find this a very good composition with the two benches, one row of houses at the left and the town hall in the middle.
It's a clear and sharp picture with nice colours and it shows us very well the beautiful architecture of the - till now - for me unknown Bardejov.
Regards, Paul
