What do many people find the most interesting about old medieval cities? Yes, you're right, these curved narrow streets, where you can almost feel the scent of the past centuries. This one is the narrowest street in the historic centre of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, but few centuries ago also the capital of Hungary. The city is situated close to Vienna and in the past it was under its strong influence. As many people say, Bratislava is a mixture of the east and the west. It is a city where Habsburg style palaces meet soviet concrete blocks of flats, and maybe that's why I think it's worth visiting.

Hello Martin,
This is a stunning photo. Yes I am intrigued by the curved narrow streets in medieval cities. You truely do try to image what is happening behind all these doors. The pot of flowers on the window sill look very nice. The shadows you have captured in the street are great. Thank you for sharing.
Cheers,
Debbie.
Hi Martin,
very nice summer photo of this tiny street...with great colours, also I like how abandoned it looks, like all the people are somewhere out...well done!
take care, Ivana
