Photographer’s Note

I anticipated this Sunday very much. Weather forecast was positive so the day looked promising for a nice, long walk in nature. But...either nature made it´s own mind or the meteorologists made a wrong forecast, most of the day was covered in a cold, damp mist.
The sun appeared only at 4 PM, so I rushed for a walk to Katarínka (st. Catherine monastery), about 4-5 km from Nahac. And it looked, not only I was rushing for a deep breath of clean and scented forrest air and few rays of golden sun. I never saw so many people there - from the youngest to old folks, not even during summer when there´s a camp of people repairing and conserving the ruins of the monastery.
Unfortunately, I had not much time to enjoy the surroundings, as I delayed myself taking photos along the way to here. Sun quickly set and on my return to Nahac, I had to go through the forest in dark. From time to time something rustled nearby the path and without seeing anything, I had my heart beating in my throat. I had to act cool, as my girlfriend going with me would probably freak out. Well, there´s nothing to be afraid in the woods but boars. Close encounters with them are often not too friendly.

This view heads east, the monastery buildings are about 100m west. The forrest road leads to a water spring and further to a hunter´s mansion Planinka (app. 4 km from here).
