[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ruines of St. Catharine´s Abbey situated about 40 km from Bratislava, founded after the year 1617 when according to a myth St. Catharine herself appeared to to a young pawn Ján Manc of Dechtice. This Abbey had a very stirring history and after the year 1716 when emperor Joseph II. son of Maria Theresa canceled all catholic orders the Abbey has losed his significance and was habitated only by 7 disabled soldiers. After their death it was condemmned to ruin. Nowadays the Abbey is used as very popular weekend trip and is keeped in a good condition by St. Catharines´s order which has a house quite nearby. The Abbey complex consist´s of the main Church ruins and monastery ruins..

Hello Michal,

Wonderful capture of Ruines of St. Catharine´s Abbey. I like your naturally lower POV while adding beautiful building under spectacularly blue sky. Trees full with naked branches, pathway with visitor are making your photo rich one. Congratulations.

Ahoj Michal,
this is a classic one - I know this view very well since my early childhood...

Everything is OK, good lighting and details. Maybe I´d wait for the person to hide behind the bushes and crop out part of the sky, since it does not give us much information. But I guess you wanted to express your happiness of a great day, perfect weather and deep blue sky - many times I am attracted to do the same...(and I do the same) :-)

I´d appreciate to see your equipment info.
