Photographer’s Note
Every summer and almost in every larger city of Slovakia, there is a moving open-air film club called Bazant Kinematograf.
For a couple of evenings, there is a projecting screen installed in the main square of city (Trojicne namestie (Trinity sq.) with the Holy trinity statue in Trnava shown here); Czech and Slovak films played. It is sponsored by Slovak beer producer, so beside watching films, the viewers can enjoy good beer or a Czechoslovak variation of Coke called Kofola (in my opinion much better than Coke).
The benches are usually immediately occupied when it´s getting darker, so most of people sit on the ground, still warm from all day sunshine.
The green bus with logos of the beer producer is actually a place where the projector is installed (you can see the film coils/disks/rolls (??? what´s the right name for it?) inside the bus.
The day, when I took this picture, the temperature rose to more than 37°C, which is usually hot for our latitude. Almost no one was outside at a time, when the square is usually full of life and people.
Image manipulation: lens distortion correction (barrel) with trial of PTLens, crop, auto contrast
PS: the Trinity statue has it´s own story - later on that topic
