Trencin is located in the western part of Slovakia with the Vah river running through the city.
It is one of the oldest cities of the country and dates back to 11th century.
Current population of Trencin is about 60,000.
Trencin is an important commercial, economic, and cultural center and because of it is also known as the “City of fashion“. Many institutions and companies have their headquarters and branches located there. Fairs also have a long lasting tradition in the city.
The high point of Trencin is the fortified castle which overlooks the city. The exact start of the construction is unknown but probably goes back to the 11th century and building continued until the 14th. The Tower carries the name of Matus Cak, a Slovak historical figure and it is today, one of the symbols of the city. In the renovated castle exhibitions, medieval music and shows are organized as well as, classical and folkloristic concerts. The castle is opened to the public also at night.

Beautiful colours for this superb composition. layer of green, layer of red, layer of blue in which the castle is almost shining. A few people going quietly through their daily life activities to complete thi charming scene. Very well done.

Itt szilvesztereztem a barátaimmal 2003-ban, így nemcsak a kép erényei tettek rám nagy hatást, hanem a hirtelen feltóduló emlékek is. Ismét tökéletes fotóval örvendeztetted meg a TE közönséget, mivel együtt van minden, ami egy jó képhez kell: a képkivágás tökéletes, a fények ragyogóak, a téma csodálatos. Az előtérben látható emberek sokat adnak a látványhoz most is, élettől lüktető, mesés hangulatú a kép. Megy a kedvencek közé. Szép hetet és jó fotókat Kívánok!

Lovely view of all these colourful houses on a nice diagonal with the fortress behind, rising high above this scene. I like the low action going on the street with the lady stared in the middle of the street and this biker riding slowly (it seems) on his bike.
The colours and light of this photo are just perfectly managed.

Olá Attila, this seems a gorgeous peaceful place. You made a great composition with everything in it and very attractive colors. The Castle, the colorful old houses the statue people in FG - very rich image with lots of nice details to observe. Love the cyclist passing by, although it would be perfect a few seconds earlier, with him at right. Excellent work.

Szia Attila,
a gondos szerkesztésnek köszönhetően persze ez is magasan veri a helyről forgalomban levő képeket. A vár itt tényleg úgy jelenik meg, mint a polgárváros oltalmazója.
Azon nagyon elcsodálkoztam, hogy 18 mm-nél nem látok torzulást. A várfal jobb felső pereménél viszont mintha lenne némi kromatikus (zöld) aberráció. A WS-ben küldök egy korrigált változatot, bár ilyen kicsi méretben nehezen tudom eldönteni, nem csupán érzéki csalódásról van-e szó.
