The Knights of Malta Photo

Photographer’s Note

This shot was taken in Kapitulská ulica, near Bratislava's cathedral. Initially I thought that this was the Maltese embassy but apparently it's the embassy of the Knights of Malta (aka the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta). Apparently it does have diplomatic relations with some countries, including Slovakia.

Dieses Foto "lebt"von den unglaublich unterschiedlichen - und schwierigen - Lichtverhältnissen. Die dadurch entstandene Atmosphäre ist wunderschön - auch aufgrund der "ruhigen" Farben. ein besonderer Ort ... wirklich schön!

Hallo Philipp,
You have managed very well the light and the chromatic saturation at this composition.
The perspective of the street in the framing is short and elegant, the contrast between the illuminated areas and the areas at the shade is very good, and the red flag of the Order of Malta is outlined especially the set.
