Photographer’s Note

Bratislava's historic center is full of small alleys and streets. This picture was taken at the intersection of two of them. I increased the contrast a bit since I felt that without it the picture looked somewhat "flat."

Excellent framing. A composition very simple but very efficience and very nice. Good use of B&W with a little red and beautiful play of shade. Good photowork.

Excellent eye, very well composed.
I like the effect of the particular corner and the lamp with the shadow.

Hi Philipp,
I like very much the minimalism of the compo, be it graphic or colour wise. The white rectangles simulating stones, the candle, its shadow and the sign of the street make an attractive ensemble of great visual impact.
