Photographer’s Note

I titled this image 'European Wild East' to emphasize the importance of saving of rundown historical building and the weak burse for this purpose in Eastern Europe.

I created this photo in the central square of Levoca/Locse/Leutschau, a once shiny commercial and cultural centre of Slovakian, Hungarian, German, Polish people cca. 40km far in South-Eastern direction to the Tatras.

To be honest I am not fair to this quaint old little town, because this is the odd one out of the recently renovated really beautiful pieces of architectural heritage.
