Photographer’s Note

Again High Tatras N.P. and the wonderful snowy meadow :)
Though lot of people enjoy walking on it, it is rare to meet somebody there.
As for me, I love the freedom of walking around..
It is ideal place to retreat from the pressures of everyday life, when i feel particularly
"jumpy".. :)
It’s the best way for my feeling of wellbeing.. :)

Excellent image. The lonely man on the snow with elongated shadow makes for a perfect setting. Nice contrast between the sky and the snow.

Hi Veronika, I like the photo and the way that you have used the footprints and the shadow of the man as elements in the composition. But I wonder whether the photo would have been stronger if you had taken a lower viewpoint which followed the footprints and led to the man near the top of the frame. It's a nice try though. Stephen

You could have chosen "transportation" as category for this one, cause it's really that. The blue tone of sky nd white of snow gives the picture an excellent contrast and it's great to have taken the person from back walking in the snow.
It will have been great if you could have taken the full shadow and place the person a little bit more on the left. But nevermind, it's a good picture, again from tatras :)

Hello Vero,
So this is the location where you go to think and escape reality. I also think that if you had taken a set of footprints in close to the lower edge of the image and focused up close on them, and included the person, the image would have been a bit more powerful in its definement. Other than that, excellent exposure and DoF.

A lonely photo. Very nice capture of the snow( a dificult task) and beautiful blue in the sky. I like how you used the footsteps starting exactly from the corner, as "guiding lines".

Hi Veronika. I like the idea here with the footprints starting in the corning and leading up. It's a good shot, but I think you suffered a little from the hard sun (the combination with snow tends to do that). Anyway, it looks very nice to have these Mountains in your "backyard" to take a breath and relax. I have the sea, but as soon as the sun shines, it's crowded with tourists and it rather makes me run away from it than to go to it. Cu.

Hi Veronika. I feel both freedom and isolation when I look at this. I think if you zoomed out more and went with a wider angler it would emphasize the loneliness by making the person smaller. tfs Veronika.

The color of the sky vs. the neutral foreground cut by the treks and guy is a defenition of high class art work.I look at the date I cant believe my eyes! Maybe u were born an artist.

For a more dramatic effect for my taste, i would have recommended to include all of the shadow in the photo and the placement of the person walking in the photo to be smaller and closer towards the left side of the photo, just to induce some tension in the photo.

I like this kind of photo, the sensation of soletude. Great perspective, colors. it is little noised on the sky, but not disturb your photo.

The magic begins with footprints, increases upto her/his shadow. I love the way you have focused for the arc. A slight dark sky could have increased the romance of the beautiful scene. Even then a splendid shot.
